Welcome to the Spouse/Guest Program at the AREMA 2018 Annual Conference & Exposition in Chicago!
My name is ‘Lissa Clark, wife of AREMA President Dwight Clark. I would like to extend an invitation for you to attend this year’s Spouse/Guest Program from September 16 – 19
at the historic Hilton Chicago. The Hilton Chicago Hotel is a landmark downtown property located on the "Cultural Michigan Avenue Magnificent Mile" overlooking Grant Park and Lake Michigan, Millennium Park and Museum Campus. The Hilton Chicago Hotel features richly appointed guest rooms, fitness facilities, indoor pool and diverse dining options.
Our Hospitality Suite will be available to all registered spouses/guests. Please join us for a Welcome Reception on Sunday from Noon - 1:00 PM
to meet old friends and to make new ones. This is a place for you to relax while the Conference & Exposition is in progress. Your name badge will also give you access to the Exposition Hall.

featuring speaker Lynn O’Dowd. Lynn combines music, entertainment and an awe-inspiring message to teach you how to accomplish things you never thought possible. Her highly-transformational keynote will arm you to follow your dreams as you Unleash Your Inner Superstar. We all have hidden gifts and talents within us, we just need to let them out and recognize that it’s never too late to realize our full protentional for greater success and happiness.
After brunch, join us for a historical tour of a Chicago landmark, the Hilton Chicago!
You will learn all about the original ‘city within a city’ hotel as well as how the beautiful hotel has changed throughout the years. A tour will be provided of the lobby and history corridor, in addition to ending the tour in an iconic suite. Sign-up sheets will be available in the Spouse/Guest Hospitality Suite for available tour times.
On Tuesday, we will visit the Field Museum
, your passport to travel around the world and back in time. See Sue, the world’s largest and most complete T.rex fossil ever found. The docent led tour will allow us to see Mummies like never before in a rare, close-up look at 14 mummies, exquisitely painted coffins, stone sarcophagus fragments, ceramics, mummified animals, and mummy masks. We will be dazzled by the Grainger Hall of Gems and the Hall of Jade, and explore Evolving Planet, where giant sloths, woolly mammoths and dinosaurs roam. We will have lunch in the African safari among the famous man-eating Lions of Tsavo. This event requires a separate ticket, so be sure to register in advance.
