Special negotiated room rates for conference attendees are available. AREMA’s headquarter hotel is the Hilton Minneapolis, however there are several hotels to choose from. When booking a room, you will be required to pay a non-refundable room deposit of $180.00. This charge will appear on your credit card statement as “ConferenceDirect LLC.” Of the deposit, $10 will be retained as a processing fee and $170 will be applied to your hotel folio as an advance deposit. If rooms are cancelled, in addition to the non-refundable deposit, the following fees will apply:
- $60.00 cancellation processing fee for all cancellations made until July 31
- $90.00 cancellation processing fee beginning August 1 - 26
- $120.00 cancellation processing fee beginning August 27
Room confirmations will be sent from the Railway Interchange Housing partner, Conference Direct. Reserve your hotel room as soon as possible because they will fill up quickly.
Warning: Please be aware that Railway Interchange has not authorized anyone but our housing company (ConferenceDirect) to book rooms for Railway Interchange attendees. If you are contacted by an unauthorized housing company that is not ConferenceDirect, we urge you to end the phone call immediately and do not provide any credit card/data or secure information to the caller.

Professional Development Hours
By attending the AREMA Annual Conference and Seminars, you may earn up to 12.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH).
Please note that your individual state board has the final authority on approving all Professional Development Hours for activities attended. The PDH forms will be available online at AREMA's PDH Page
after the Conference.
The AREMA 2019 Annual Conference registration fee includes admission to all General Sessions, AREMA Technical Sessions and the Railway Interchange Exhibition. The registration fee does not include meals, travel or accommodations. An extra fee applies for the Annual Committee Chairs Luncheon on Tuesday as well as Seminars and Spouse/Guest events.
Cancellation and Transfer Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing on or before August 15, 2019 to firstname.lastname@example.org
to obtain a refund. A 20% processing fee will be charged for all cancellations regardless of the reason. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after August 15, 2019. Transfers may be made for a $60 processing fee by sending a completed Registration/Transfer Form
. The individual submitting the transfer request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution, which could include a Member to a Non-Member registration fee.
